How it works
Your journey with us
Once a social worker has approved a placement, we work with you to plan your own future — every step supported.
Arriving and settling in
This stage is all about getting used to your new home and starting to feel safe.
- Time to meet the staff, learn the routines, and settle at your own pace
- Support to decorate your room and make it truly yours
- Help with the practical admin — paperwork, appointments, school or college links
- Time spent getting to know the real you: your story, your interests, what helps you feel calm
Building your plan
Once you're settled, we work together on your development, at a pace that's right for you.
- Career ideas — exploring jobs, training or college options
- Education support — school, college, tutoring or alternative routes
- Life skills — cooking, budgeting, self-care, travel and independence
- Personal development — confidence, self-esteem, relationships and identity
- Therapeutic support, where it's needed and agreed
Checking in, regularly
We don't set a plan and walk away — we keep coming back to it with you.
- Regular reviews with staff and your wider team
- Honest conversation about what's working and what needs to change
- Your view always matters — say if something doesn't feel right
Next steps and moving on
When you're ready, we plan together for what comes next — whatever that looks like for you.
- Returning to family, or another family-based placement
- Moving to a provider that's right for your next stage
- Moving into semi-independent or independent living
- Setting new goals to keep building your skills and confidence
